Explorers – before and after school care for your children

We are very proud to have an excellent wrap around care service which is well used and very much appreciated by our parents.  Jess and Jeanette at Explorers are passionate about providing a safe and stimulating environment where every child’s needs are fully supported and where all children have fun and can develop their confidence and independence.

Explorers is based within school and is open to children aged 3 – 11 during term time. Session times and prices are shown below:

7.15am – 8.40am     £4.00
3pm – 4.30pm         £4.00
3pm – 6pm              £7.00

Explorers provide breakfast for children and also a light snack at the end of the school day.  Jess is careful to plan options that are nutritionally balanced as well as offering a choice that children enjoy.  A sample menu can be seen by clicking Explorers Menu 1

The activities your child can become involved in will very much depend on his or her interests and there is always a wide choice of indoor and outdoor games for them to play.  Other recent activities have included a tee-shirt design competition (congratulations to Darcy Donavan – Year 3 who has successfully designed the new Explorers logo), a ‘bug box’ has been made for younger explorers who enjoy finding lots of insects with their magnifying glasses.

Our green fingered children have helped to plant vegetables in the Explorer’s garden and the potatoes are already doing really well.

Explorers is a busy happy club and numbers continue to grow and new children are always welcome.

> Fun at Explorers this Term

At Explorers this term, we have been busy doing various craft activities for Mother’s day, Red Nose Day and Easter!  These crafts have been enjoyed by both our Breakfast Club and After School Club children.  Have a look at some of our photos.

We also held an Easter Egg competition which was to ‘Design Your Own Drawing Of An Egg’.  We had four lucky winner!  They are:

The children even decided to Egg Painting and some decided to paint their teacher on there egg.  Can you guess who the teachers are??

> Explorers Reward Scheme

Explorers Rewards are given out to children who are well behaved or do something to help others whilst at Explorers.  Winners are decided on a termly basis.

To brighten up the term our Explorers have been busy colouring their favourite Disney characters and animals and have contributed to the new display.  All the children have been getting creative making things with the new Hamma Beads and the Loom Bands.
