Samantha Blakeley Governor Profile

Samantha Blakeley

I have lived in Armthorpe all my life, and attended Shaw Wood as a pupil many (many) years ago! My daughter now also attends the school.

I started my career in health administration at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. I then went into Prison Healthcare and now I work in Public Health for the Local Authority. I have a wide range of skills, from project and contract management to finance and procurement.

My drive to be a governor is to use the skills I've gained over the years to be part of a forward thinking and driven team, to help Shaw Wood achieve above and beyond its potential, as a school but also as a community asset.

My hobbies are spending time with my family, including the many animals we have, and the chances are, if it has 2 or 4 wheels, petrol and an engine, I'm in!
