Explorers – before and after school care for your children

We are very proud to have an excellent wrap around care service which is well used and very much appreciated by our parents.  Jess and Jeanette at Explorers are passionate about providing a safe and stimulating environment where every child’s needs are fully supported and where all children have fun and can develop their confidence and independence.

Explorers is based within school and is open to children aged 3 – 11 during term time. Session times and prices are shown below:

Explorers provide breakfast for children and also a light snack at the end of the school day.  Jess is careful to plan options that are nutritionally balanced as well as offering a choice that children enjoy. A sample menu can be seen by clicking Explorers Menu 1

The activities your child can become involved in will very much depend on his or her interests and there is always a wide choice of indoor and outdoor games for them to play.

Our green fingered children have helped to plant vegetables in the Explorer’s garden and the potatoes are already doing really well.

Explorers is a busy happy club and numbers continue to grow and new children are always welcome.

If you would like your child to join the group please call into school for a registration form or call Jess for more information on 07730 145148

> Autumn Update

Explorers welcomed eleven new children in September and we have all enjoyed doing lots of activities together.
As well as favourites such as reading, gardening and Hama beads we have “made” the world and completed a huge jigsaw puzzle together.
Autumn was the theme for our display and the children collected leaves to add to our tree paintings.
In the month of October, we made our own Halloween decorations, carved pumpkins, enjoyed splatter painting and also painted our hands black to make spider pictures.
For Remembrance day we drew round our hands to make a poppy wreath which is proudly displayed in our window.
