Parent Communication

We have a number of ways to communicate with parents:

  • Letters, which may sometimes be on paper, and also uploaded to the school website and Class Dojo
  • The Class Dojo app
  • Phone calls home
  • Face-to-face meetings

As last year, Class Dojo will be used by teachers to send out information to parents about their child’s class (for example, reminders about swimming lessons or signing up for parents’ evening), as well as year group or whole-school updates. If you haven’t already signed up to Dojo, please do so as soon as possible. This will allow you to stay up to date with our reward system, see how well your child is doing, and receive all important messages for parents.

Please note that while we use Dojo to send messages, it is not monitored for incoming messages from parents, and private chat messages sent via Dojo will not be read or responded to. The Dojo app is not for parents to contact the school directly.

We ask that you follow the communications chart below for the appropriate way to get in touch with school staff.

 WhatsApp Groups and communication

While we understand that WhatsApp can sometimes be a useful way to communicate, it is not an official communication channel used or recognised by the school. We are aware that many parent groups exist, but we ask that you be mindful that misinformation can sometimes be shared through these unofficial sources.

If you want accurate information about your child, school events, or any other school matters, please speak directly to our staff, or check our Facebook page and/or school website.
