School Meals
Our 5 star rated kitchen offers a variety of meals for your child to enjoy. We have all appropriate procedures in place that comply with current legislation and we provide diets for children with special dietary needs whether it is for cultural, religious or health reasons.
Diets provided on the grounds of health are on the official instruction of the Dietetics Department at Doncaster Royal Infirmary. If your child is a patient under the dietitian at the hospital then please ask them to forward the information to us in advance of your child starting school.
If your child has an agreed place at Shaw Wood Academy please contact the school office on 01302 831307 to make an appointment to discuss your child’s religious, cultural or special dietary needs.
Parents must make bookings on Parent Pay for their child's meal options each week. Bookings cannot be made after the deadline. You will be required to pay at the time of booking the meals unless your child is in Reception, Year 1, Year 2 or entitled to Free School meals. The cost of a school meal is £3.00 per day (£15.00 per week).

Packed Lunches
Children are welcome to bring a packed lunch to school but this should be balanced and healthy with no chocolate bars, sweets or fizzy pop. Dilute pop/juice is permitted. School does not provide drinks or spoons for yoghurts etc. Please do not overload your child’s lunch box.
